As we know picking beautiful color combinations to work well together while highlighting the beautiful textured of lace knit stitches can quickly become a real headache. To help you visualize some colors together, I have put together four specially curated color combinations examples for you to choose from.

Here’s a short video to show you how to adjust the colors in your kit:

Size

This section is approximately 22 cm/8.5” high and 40 cm/15.75” wide after blocking.

Abbreviations & Instructions

  • st = stitch
  • k = knit
  • p = purl
  • ssk = slip slip knit; left-leaning decrease
  • k2tog = knit 2 stitches together, right-leaning decrease
  • sl1k = slip 1 stitch knitwise
  • yo = yarn over

Repeat instructions between [] the indicated number of times or until the end of the row.

The final number of stitches is indicated at the end of the row between < >.

Notes

  • The first and last repeat in height are a little different than the others to ensure no broken off diagonal eyelet lines.
  • To improve the neat finish of your ssk and avoid a staircase effect on the ssk diagonals: slip the 1st st as if to knit, slip the 2nd st as if to purl (instead of knit) then finish the stitch as usual. This will twist the back stitch making it tighter and giving the overall decrease a neater finish.
