This crochet blanket stripe section is about 5 inches tall and 50 inches wide, making it a nice textured stripe that’s perfect for a blanket. Made with worsted weight yarn, it’s got just the right amount of warmth and weight—substantial but not too heavy. The stitches create a beautiful textured look, giving the blanket a cozy, inviting feel. It’s a great way to add some variety to your blanket, whether you’re making it as part of a larger project or just want a pretty stripe on its own.
This stripe is actually one part of the Tranquility Blanket Free Crochet Pattern for the Crochet-Along 2024 (https://madebygootie.com/crochet/tranquility-blanket-free-crochet-pattern/?affiliate=kwc if the previous link isn’t working for you). There’s a step-by-step video tutorial included, so you can follow along at your own pace, even if you’re newer to crochet. The video goes over each part of the stitch pattern, so you can easily get that textured look without getting lost. Combine this with other sections to build a complete, cozy blanket with lots of interesting texture and style!
More About Tranquility Throw CAL 2024
It is the third annual blanket crochet along that Agat from Made by Gootie is co-hosting with her friend Shannon from The Loophole Fox!
Previous year’s Harmony Throw and Serenity Throw were a huge success, and the best news is you can mix and match stripes from the different years to create a truly unique blanket.
The Tranquility Blanket is designed by 10 different crochet designers to create a unique crochet blanket pattern made of 12 sections.
The blanket comes in 2 sizes – lapghan and throw and is made by working different stripes on top of each other (no joining!).
Each of the strips of the blanket has a unique texture, so you won’t get bored making this blanket.

Notes
Include all the notes necessary to your pattern here, following the example below. Please do include the stitch multiple for your pattern as some crocheters like to change the size and will need it.
- Work instructions between [] the indicated number of times or until the end of the row/round. Instructions between () are worked in the same stitch/space.
- The final number of stitches is indicated at the end of the row/round between < >.
- The turning ch 1, ch 2 don’t count as stitches throughout the pattern except if mentioned.
- The pattern is written in crochet shorthand. For example:
- “sc 1” means to single crochet in the next stitch,
- “sc 2” means to single crochet in each of the next 2 stitches,
- and “2 sc” means to single crochet twice in the next st.
- Stitch multiple: The shells and post stitch featured here needs a multiple of 6 number of stitches; your starting chain will be a multiple of 6 + 1 for an extra turning chain.
