Materials
You may be able to fit the smaller blankets on long straight knitting needles but you’ll need a long cable circular needle to be able to fit all the stitches for bigger sizes. If using interchangeable circular needles, I recommend using swivel cords as they’ll help reduce strain on your wrists.
- LionBrand Hue & Me (Bulky/Chunky (5), 80% Acrylic; 20% wool, 125 g / 4.4 oz, 125 m / 137 yd) 5 (8, 10, 9, 12, 14, 27, 43, 46, 52) skeins in color Love Song [617-140U]
- Tapestry needle to weave in the ends.

Size
The blanket pattern comes in ten sizes, noted: stroller / baby (receiving, toddler, crib small, crib regular, throw, twin, double, queen, king) throughout the pattern. Pictures illustrate the Stroller / Baby blanket size.

You can easily adapt your blanket to any width by increasing or decreasing your cast on by multiples of 10 sts (approx. 9.5 cm/ 3.75”) and to any length by working the main section repeat until your blanket is about 10 cm / 4” shorter than you’d like it to be when it’s complete.
Gauge
The gauge for this pattern, in knot stitch repeat is 10.5 st by 15 rows for a 10 cm / 4” square.
Abbreviations
- st = stitch
- k = knit
- p3tog = purl 3 stitches together
- K3tog = knit 3 stitches together
- Sl1p = slip 1 stitch purlwise
- M1L = make 1 left (increase)
- M1R = make 1 right (increase)
Work instructions between [] the indicated number of times or until the end of the row / round.
The final number of stitches is indicated at the end of the row / round between < >.
Special Stitches / Techniques
Knot Stitch (noted as knot throughout the pattern) Video Tutorial
- With your yarn held in front, p3tog without slipping these stitches off the needle.
- Move your yarn to the back and k3tog the same stitches, again without slipping them off the needle.
- Move your yarn to the front and p3tog the same stitches once more and slide them off your needle.

With your 8 mm / US 11 needles Cast on 89 (109, 119, 99, 129, 139, 179, 249, 259, 299) st
Row 1: Sl1p, knit across. < 89 (109, 119, 99, 129, 139, 179, 249, 259, 299) st>
Repeat until work measures 10 cm / 4” from cast on edge.
Main Pattern Section
Row 1 (RS): Sl1p, knit across.
Row 2 (WS): Sl1p, k9, purl until last 10 st, k10.
Row 3: Sl1p, knit across.
Row 4: Repeat Row 2.
Row 5: Sl1p, k12, [knot, k7] to last 6 st, k6. < 7 (9, 10, 8, 11, 12, 16, 23, 24, 28) knots >
Row 6: Repeat Row 2.
Row 7 – 10: Repeat Row 1 – 2.
Row 11: Sl1p, k17, [knot, k7] to last 11 st, k11.
Row 12: Repeat Row 2.
Repeat Row 1 – 12 until total length is about 79 (92, 122, 127, 142, 142, 219, 264, 264, 264) cm / 31 (36, 48, 50, 56, 56, 86, 104, 104, 104)”, finishing on a Row 8 on your final repeat so the top and bottom will match.

Border
Row 1: Sl1p, knit across.
Repeat until border measures 10cm / 4”
Cast off knitwise and weave in the ends.
Blocking
You’re done with the knitting part. Make sure to weave in all the ends.
To make your stitch pattern even prettier, help straighten your edges and flatten the corners block your project.
